MineTech management on the move
In a move that brings them closer
to one of the world's leading providers of remote site safety and support services,
MineTech International has transferred its management and administration base from
Harare in Zimbabwe to work alongside the Group management team in Gloucestershire, UK.

Operational and financial management for the specialist mine and EOD
disposal division is now organised directly through the UK head office of
MineTech parent organisation Exploration Logistics Group, home to more than
50 experienced management and logistics professionals, including recently
relocated MineTech personnel. Operations Director Max Dyck continues to
head up a specialist MineTech management team, who together
with their families are now resident in the UK.
Managing Director of Exploration Logistics Group, Mike Jaques believes
the move will deliver significant efficiencies for MineTech customers in terms
of both operational management and performance.
Explains Mike, "Explorations Logistics' steady and continued success
is founded on the skills of a highly specialist and professional team with
unique experience in tackling the many and varied challenges involved in
working in hazardous, post conflict and remote environments. We have been
delivering a wide range of remote Health and Safety services for more than
20 years, achieving the very high and exacting standards demanded by the
oil and gas industries as an example. Combining our management strengths
under one roof will support our continued drive towards innovation and
professionalism."
Recent recruits strengthening the Exploration Logistics Group
management team include Tom Saul who joins as Finance Director having
previously worked for a leading marine insurance firm in London.
Maintaining an office in Zimbabwe as well as a specialist dog training
school in Pretoria, South Africa, MineTech will still operate a major
recruitment base in Harare where the organisation maintains a highly
skilled workforce specialising in mine and EOD clearance.
Established since 1986 Exploration Logistics Group has a workforce of more
than 750 medics, consultants, training and field personnel around the
world, specialists in demining and explosive ordnance disposal, Health
and Safety audit, project management, off-road and defensive driver
training, steep terrain activity. medical support and the provision
of security explosive detecting dog teams.
