All MineTech operational and financial staff are now
based at the Group's headquarters in the UK. The Harare office
remains MineTech's recruitment base where the organisation
maintains a highly skilled workforce that, if required,
can be deployed at very short notice.
   The facility consists of offices, central stores, communications centre,
lecture rooms and training grounds where a variety of courses
are run, ranging from the basic demining courses
to EOD (Explosive Ordnance Disposal) courses.
The mine clearance teams are briefed in Harare for
each project and extensive supplies and equipment are stored locally
ready for deployment.
Mine clearance teams are trained up to MineTech standards
with regular fitness and ability assessments. All members of staff
are required to undergo the basic demining course whether they are
going into the field or are part of the administrative workforce.
This ensures that even the office staff understand the intricacies
of the job and can offer the best support to the clearance teams.
Research and development is a core aspect of the business
and MineTech International is committed to continually keeping abreast
of new techniques and equipment within the industry. A large amount
of R&D takes place in-house at the facilities in Harare to ensure
overall improvement in safety and efficiency for every project.
