Mine detection dog teams play an integral part in the rapid identification of minefields, thereby eliminating large areas of suspect land. Dog teams always work in conjunction with manual mine clearance methods in order to provide the most reliable service.

Each team comprises two dogs and one handler. This formation ensures that each dog covers the ground independently, creating part of our field level internal quality control system. All mine dog handlers are also trained as mine clearers.
