Mechanics (Vehicle or Agicultural Experience) - ref:MTM

Experienced vehicle or agricultural mechanics are required for a 12 month contract commencing July 2008 supporting our MineTech International operations in Chad.

Applicants will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of a range of 4 x 4 vehicles and other heavy plant equipment, including tractors and mechanical mine clearance flail machines. Applicants will diagnose faults, dismantle, assemble and repair or modify components in extremely remote site locations. Experience of welding, fabrication, hydraulic and electrical systems is therefore essential.

Overseas experience within this field would be preferable, but this position would be suitable for applicants with time served recognised mechanical qualifications and previous experience in the military, agricultural, plant or motor trades.

Physically fit, applicants should have the ability to work on their initiative, both within a team and alone and to analyse and rectify problems quickly and efficiently.

All project related expenses including travel, food, accommodation and subsistence expenses are met in full.
