MineTech Successfully Retains its Integrated Clearance Capacity (ICC) Humanitarian Contract in South Sudan

For the past seven years MineTech has been supporting the ongoing humanitarian mission in South Sudan to reduce the threat of mines and ERW in the region after decades of conflict. Since 2011 we have held one of the largest mine action programmes in the country conducting ICC activities across the entire region. Our ICC teams consist of three core components: manual clearance, mechanical clearance and community liaison. In June 2014 MineTech successfully retained this contract for a further three years, following a competitive retender. This award ultimately enables us to continue to develop our local capacity. We are proud to say that 98% of the project is comprised of local nationals, many of whom have been working on this contract since its inception.
